NUST invites online applications for the post of Professor - Design and Manufacturing Engineering at School of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, Department of Design and Manufacturing Engineering. Job Reference: Job/F202/10/12/2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview; no TA/DA admissible.
Duties and responsibilities
- Deliver advanced lectures and design course content
- Lead and contribute to research projects, including publications in high-impact journals
- Supervise graduate and postgraduate research activities and thesis work
- Contribute to curriculum development, academic planning, and departmental leadership activities
Eligibility criteria
- PhD Manufacturing, in Manufacturing Engineering, recognised by HEC, PEC
- Advanced Manufacturing and CAD/CAM
- Relevant PEC registration number required
- Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC
- No 3rd Division in academic career
- NUST employees need minimum one year service and NOC from Head of Institution
- Candidates must not be in process of pursuing the required degree
- Candidates must be medically fit
- Govt/Armed Forces employees must apply through parent department
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 15 years
- 15-years teaching/research experience in a recognized University or 15-years professional experience in the relevant field (5 years teaching); 10-years post-PhD teaching/research experience; 15 research publications with at least 5 in the last 5 years in HEC/PEC recognized journals
- Experience accepted from: HEC Recognized University, Post-graduate Institution, National or International Organization
Age limit
- All candidates: 30 – 58 years
