About this vacancy
NUST invites online applications for the post of Lab Technician (Hospitality Labs) at NUST Business School, Human Resources Management (HRM). Job Reference: Job/NG-126/10/08/2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview; no TA/DA admissible.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage laboratory inventory, equipment, utensils and consumables
- Ensure Restaurant and Hotel Labs are clean, organized, safe and ready before sessions
- Prepare equipment, materials and workstations for practical classes
- Assist faculty in conducting practical sessions
- Monitor equipment condition and report faults and maintenance needs
- Maintain storage, labelling and accountability of lab items
- Support upkeep of computers and hospitality lab systems
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety and OHS procedures
- Maintain housekeeping standards and records
- Support demonstrations, mock operations, projects and workshops
- Coordinate with faculty, staff, vendors and maintenance personnel
- Report safety hazards and operational issues
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's - Bachelor Degree (Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel/Culinary Management preferred)
- Basic computer literacy and hospitality lab software
- Basic knowledge of inventory control, equipment handling, housekeeping, hygiene and safety
- Good organizational, communication and record-keeping skills
- Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC
- No 3rd Division in academic career
- NUST employees need minimum one year service and NOC from Head of Institution
- Candidates must not be in process of pursuing the required degree
- Candidates must be medically fit
- Govt/Armed Forces employees must apply through parent department
Experience required
- Required experience: 2 – 3 years
- Essential: 2-3 years practical experience of hotel and restaurant operations; ability to work in hands-on academic laboratory environment
- Experience accepted from: Hotels, Restaurants
Age limit
- All candidates: 22 – 45 years
