AJK Government Jobs

Azad Jammu and Kashmir has its own government and its own departments, so vacancies here are advertised by the AJK education, health, home, local government, works and agriculture departments, by AJK universities and medical colleges, and by AJK authorities and development programmes. Recruitment is separate from the federal government and from any province, and an AJK advertisement is answered under AJK rules rather than the ones a candidate may be used to elsewhere.

Regular posts from the middle grades upward go through the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission, which advertises on behalf of AJK departments. Departments recruit directly for lower grades and for project posts. Qualifications broadly track the rest of the country - HEC-recognised degrees, professional council registration where the cadre requires it - but the advertising body, the application route and the fee arrangements are AJK's own.

The document that matters here is the AJK State Subject certificate rather than a provincial domicile, and district quotas within AJK apply to many cadres. A share of AJK seats is also reserved in federal recruitment, which is a separate route worth knowing about. Age limits are counted on the closing date with relaxation only where AJK rules allow. Because the rules are distinct, read the eligibility conditions on the advertisement rather than assuming provincial practice.
