The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) is a public sector autonomous body under the Federal Government of Pakistan. It was officially established on August 9, 2024, under the Pakistan Airports Authority Act, 2023, as part of a major restructuring that split the old Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) into separate regulatory and operational bodies. While the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) retains regulatory oversight, the PAA is explicitly tasked with the administration, operations, management, and development of civil airports and air navigation services across the country.
