Datacenter Engineer (Infrastructure Management) at the Punjab Information Technology Board, responsible for physical datacenter infrastructure, structured cabling and equipment deployment. Duties and responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, rack, stack and de-rack physical servers, storage and network equipment
- Lay, label and test datacenter cabling (fibre and copper) for all equipment in the datacenter
- Establish connectivity between servers and SAN storage (FC/iSCSI)
- Establish connectivity between servers and core / aggregation network switches
- Coordinate with systems, network and storage teams during deployments
- Maintain structured cabling documentation and rack layouts
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - Masters/Bachelors (Hons) (16 years) in Advanced Computing, Computational Science, Computer Engineering/Sciences, Computer Networks, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Engineering/Sciences, Information Technology, Telecommunication Engineering/Sciences, Software Engineering or Management Information System, in Advanced Computing, Computational Science, Computer Engineering/Sciences, Computer Networks, Electrical Engineering/Sciences, Electronics Engineering/Sciences, Information Engineering/Sciences, Information Technology, Telecommunication Engineering/Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Management Information System, recognised by HEC
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 3 years
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience accepted from: Public Sector Organizations, Private Sector Organizations
Age limit
- All candidates: 25 – 40 years
