Deputy Manager (Broadcast Operations & Playout)

NDMA seeks to hire eligible candidates purely on contract basis on lump sum package for an initial period of 24 months (extendable on requirement basis). Posts filled on open merit basis. Selected candidates must serve a minimum of 18 months. Lump-sum monthly package depends on domain skills and relevant experience.

• Manage automated broadcast/channel operations for uninterrupted transmission of NDMA content
• Develop and execute daily/weekly playout schedules
• Oversee live-stream ingest, routing and switching for NDMA events and briefings
• Monitor broadcast feeds, transmission quality and platform performance
• Manage channel and platform configuration, encoders and ingest systems
• Maintain backup and contingency arrangements for broadcast continuity
• Coordinate technical requirements for outside broadcasts and live events
• Liaise with broadcasters, platform providers and vendors
• Ensure compliance with broadcast standards and NDMA communication policies

• Bachelor's or Master's - MS/BS Mass Communication, MS/BS IT, MS/BS Computer Science, MS/BS Social Science, in Journalism, Information Technology, Computer Science, Social Sciences, recognised by HEC
• MS/BS in Mass Communication, IT, Computer Science, Social Science or relevant field

• Required experience: 4 – 6 years
• 4-6 years relevant experience; broadcast automation, MCR/PCR, OTT/digital streaming, live production, ingest/switching, encoding and CMS experience preferred

• All candidates: 26 – 33 years
• Age is counted on the closing date, 17 Oct 2026.
