About this vacancy
NDMA seeks to hire eligible candidates purely on contract basis on lump sum package for an initial period of 24 months (extendable on requirement basis). Posts filled on open merit basis. Selected candidates must serve a minimum of 18 months. Lump-sum monthly package depends on domain skills and relevant experience.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead technical assessment of flood, drainage and water-resource infrastructure
- Develop models for floodwater storage, drainage, retention and groundwater recharge
- Assess dams, barrages, channels, culverts and urban drainage systems
- Support flood-resilience projects and National Water Bank initiatives
- Prepare technical advisories
Eligibility criteria
- Master's - MS Water Resources Engineering, MS Water Resources Management, in Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences, recognised by HEC
- Core skills: hydrology, hydraulics, flood modelling, drainage design, watershed management, flood risk assessment
- Tools: HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, ArcGIS/QGIS, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MIKE FLOOD/MIKE SHE, Google Earth Engine
