National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) is hiring for 4 posts of Junior Technician (BPS-06). Applicants need Matric. The role involves support the laying, routing, dressing, labeling, and termination of cables and wires. The last date to apply is 2 November 2026.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support the laying, routing, dressing, labeling, and termination of cables and wires
- Assist in inspecting telephone lines, network connections, distribution boxes, and equipment installations
- Help identify and report faults in communication systems, cables, power supplies, and related equipment
- Operate basic testing tools and instruments under supervision
- Assist with routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, inspection, and replacement of defective components
- Support field teams in fault rectification, service restoration, and installation activities
- Maintain tools, equipment, spare parts, and materials issued for assigned work
- Record completed tasks, equipment usage, material consumption, and reported faults
- Follow instructions, technical procedures, safety standards, and workplace discipline
- Ensure the safe handling, storage, and transportation of tools and technical equipment
- Perform other relevant technical duties assigned by the competent authority
Eligibility criteria
- Matric - Secondary School Certificate/Matriculation Science, Secondary School Certificate/Matriculation Computer Science (CS), Technical School Certificate/Matriculation (Tech.)
- Qualification: Matric (Science) or equivalent BPS-06 is equivalent to NPS-2 Job Description: Assist senior technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and accessories
