The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is hiring a Senior Assistant (Civil Works) on contract, posted in Islamabad or anywhere in Pakistan. The post is offered at Staff Grade III and supports estimation, tendering and supervision of civil works. It requires a civil engineering qualification with 3 to 5 years of post qualification experience.
Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare estimates and BOQs for civil works, repair and maintenance works
- Inspect construction, repair and renovation projects for compliance with approved drawings and specifications
- Supervise construction, repair, renovation and maintenance activities
- Coordinate HVAC, electrical and allied services with civil works
- Prepare technical reports, tender documents, bid evaluation reports, variation orders and project completion reports
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's - Sixteen (16) years of Education in Civil Engineering, Fourteen (14) years of Education in relevant field, B-Tech Pass in Civil Engineering, recognised by HEC, PEC
- 16 years education in Civil Engineering with 3 years experience OR 14 years education / B-Tech Civil Engineering with 5 years experience
- Preferred: Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Preferred: Proficiency in Google SketchUp with rendering software
- Preferred: Knowledge of EPADS, PPRA Rules and public procurement procedures
- Preferred: Familiarity with MES Schedule of Rates
- Preferred: Proficiency in MS Office
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 3 years
- Sixteen (16) years of education in Civil Engineering with 03 years post qualification relevant experience, OR Fourteen (14) years of education in relevant field / B-Tech Pass in Civil Engineering with 05 years post qualification relevant experience.
