General Manager Biomedical Engineering

Jinnah Medical Construction Company (JMC), a public sector company established by the Government of Pakistan under the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination for the planning, development, construction, commissioning and operational readiness of the Jinnah Medical Complex & Research Centre (JMC&RC), Islamabad, invites applications for appointment on contract basis for three years or till completion of the JMC&RC project (whichever is earlier) on a market-based / industry-competitive pay package. Lead biomedical engineering, hospital equipment planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, and operational readiness.

• Hospital planning, healthcare infrastructure and medical equipment planning
• End-to-end involvement in healthcare facility and medical equipment projects from planning and design through procurement, installation, commissioning and operational readiness
• Prepare and review equipment layouts, Room Data Sheets (RDS), technical specifications, budgets, RFPs, BOQs, tender documents and technical evaluation criteria
• Apply international healthcare standards (JCI, CAP, Accreditation Canada)
• Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, ICT teams, contractors, clinical users and manufacturers
• Cost estimation, vendor evaluation and technical review of equipment for Centers of Excellence and tertiary-care hospitals
• Equipment validation (IQ/OQ) and integration of medical equipment into HIS/ERP-based asset management systems
• Medical equipment asset management including inventory, spare parts, store operations, asset registers and lifecycle records
• Any other duties assigned by the line manager

• Master's in Biomedical Engineering
• Minimum 12 years relevant experience in biomedical engineering
• Key skills: medical equipment planning, tendering, technical evaluation, commissioning and asset management
• Government servants must apply through proper channel

• Required experience: At least 12 years
• Minimum 12 years of progressive professional experience in biomedical engineering, with significant experience in hospital planning, construction, operationalization, and medical equipment planning, procurement, installation and commissioning. Experience in a JCI-accredited hospital preferred.

• All candidates: 18 – 45 years
• Age is counted on the closing date, 25 Oct 2026.
