NUST invites online applications for the post of Lab Technician at School of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, Department of Aerospace Engineering SMME. Job Reference: Job/NG-127/10/12/2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview; no TA/DA admissible.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide technical support to students in experiments and project-related laboratory work
- Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and availability of lab equipment, chemicals and materials
- Maintain a safe, organized and efficient laboratory environment
Eligibility criteria
- Diploma or Bachelor's - DAE Mechanical, BS/BSc Mechanical, in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of general purpose mechanical equipment in university teaching labs
- Computer knowledge (MS Windows, MS Office)
- Lab assets management
- Good communication skills
- Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC
- No 3rd Division in academic career
- NUST employees need minimum one year service and NOC from Head of Institution
- Candidates must not be in process of pursuing the required degree
- Candidates must be medically fit
- Govt/Armed Forces employees must apply through parent department
Experience required
- Required experience: 3 – 5 years
- Essential: 3 years; Desirable: 5 years

- All candidates: 20 – 45 years
