Project Manager Software (Information Technology) on MP-III scale at the Ministry of Railways, overseeing day-to-day management of tasks and multiple projects supporting the railway's business units.
Duties and responsibilities
- Define project objectives, scope and timelines and secure stakeholder sign-off
- Manage each project stage from planning through completion including staff, resources and priorities
- Track change requests and scope creep and keep stakeholders informed of rework estimates
- Run project meetings such as kick-offs, weekly staff meetings, milestone reviews and retrospectives
- Report accurately and on time to senior IT leadership and stakeholders
- Identify roadblocks and propose solutions and find ways to improve team efficiency
- Document and maintain workflows and processes and monitor deliverables
- Support senior IT leadership in setting IT goals and strategic plans
Eligibility criteria
- Master's or PhD - PhD in a relevant field (programme or project management), Master's degree in a relevant field, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Project Management, recognised by HEC
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 3 years
- PhD in a relevant field with 3 years of professional software development and hands-on programming experience, or a Master's in a relevant field with 5 years of experience in software development and programming
