The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) is hiring an Assistant Director (MIU) in CCP Grade-5 on contract in Islamabad. The post conducts advanced data analysis and forecasting to support evidence-based decision-making. Candidates need a Bachelor's in Econometrics and Data Sciences or a related field with 3 years of experience.
Duties and responsibilities
- Conduct advanced data analysis
- Develop forecasting models for key indicators
- Evaluate the impact of policies through quantitative and qualitative methods
- Support evidence-based decision-making within the Commission
- Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's in Econometrics and Data Sciences, in Economics, Data Science, recognised by HEC
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Econometrics and Data Sciences or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution
- Expertise in statistical analysis and data interpretation
- Contract appointment for 2 years, extendable subject to satisfactory performance
- Government employees must apply through proper channel with NOC from the parent department
- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview; no TA/DA
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 3 years
- 3 years post-qualification experience in statistical analysis, data interpretation and the use of modern analytical tools and techniques.
Age limit
- All candidates: 18 – 30 years (+5 years relaxation)
