The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) is hiring an Assistant Director (Legal) in CCP Grade-5 on contract in Islamabad. The post drafts and vets contracts and legal documents and supports the Commission in legal proceedings. Candidates need an LL.B. and 3 years of post-qualification experience.
Duties and responsibilities
- Draft, review and vet contracts, MoUs, agreements and other legal documents
- Prepare complaints and legal opinions
- Conduct legal research and analysis on statutes, case laws and legal precedents
- Liaise with internal departments, external counsel, regulatory bodies and government agencies
- Assist in interpretation and implementation of relevant laws and regulations
- Represent the Commission in legal proceedings, hearings and negotiations
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's - LL.B., in Law, recognised by HEC
- LL.B. or an equivalent degree in Law from an HEC-recognized institution
- Contract appointment for 2 years, extendable subject to satisfactory performance
- Government employees must apply through proper channel with NOC from the parent department
- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview; no TA/DA
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 3 years
- 3 years post-qualification experience in drafting, reviewing and vetting contracts, MoUs, agreements and other legal documents.
Age limit
- All candidates: 18 – 30 years (+5 years relaxation)
- Age is counted on the closing date, 8 Nov 2026.
- Further relaxation as per government rules.
