About this vacancy
Legal & Contracts Officer in the CM Punjab Green Credit Program, preparing and vetting contracts for the programme's Project Management Unit.
Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare, vet and finalize all types of contracts to be signed under the programme, including hiring of consultancy services and green credits buyer and seller relationships
- Review and ensure compliance of contracts and agreements to be signed by the Project Management Unit (PMU) of CMPGCP
- Provide legal support and advice on disputes, contract interpretation and project-related litigation or arbitration and any ancillary matters
- Any other task assigned by the higher authorities
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's or MPhil - Master's degree in Law (LLM) or Business Administration (18 years) with 07 years' experience, OR Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or Business Administration (16 years) with 09 years' experience, in Business Administration, Law, recognised by HEC
- Master's degree in Law (LLM) or Business Administration from an HEC recognized university with 07 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or Business Administration with 09 years of relevant experience
- Experience drafting, negotiating and managing contracts
- Familiarity with green, carbon and climate financing legal frameworks
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 7 years
- Master's degree with 07 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with 09 years of relevant experience, in arbitration, commercial laws, contract laws and regulatory compliance
- Experience accepted from: Public Sector Organizations, Private Sector Organizations
