The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) is hiring a Legal Advisor on contract in Islamabad. The post provides legal advice and support to the Commission on regulatory, corporate and administrative matters. Candidates need an LL.B. and 7 years of post-qualification experience.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support to the Commission on regulatory, corporate and administrative matters
- Undertake extensive legal research and review policies and procedures
- Identify applicable case law
- Draft legal documents, internal office memoranda and case briefs
- Provide other assistance relevant to the Commission's objectives
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's - LL.B., in Law, recognised by HEC
- LL.B. or an equivalent degree in Law from an HEC-recognized institution
- Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines
- Contract appointment for 2 years, extendable subject to satisfactory performance
- Government employees must apply through proper channel with NOC from the parent department
- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview; no TA/DA
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 7 years
- 7 years post-qualification experience in legal research, advisory work, litigation support and drafting of legal documents. Familiarity with competition law will be preferred.
- Experience accepted from: Public Sector, Private Sector
Age limit
- All candidates: 18 – 35 years (+5 years relaxation)
- Age is counted on the closing date, 8 Nov 2026.
