About this vacancy
NDMA seeks to hire eligible candidates purely on contract basis on lump sum package for an initial period of 24 months (extendable on requirement basis). Posts filled on open merit basis. Selected candidates must serve a minimum of 18 months. Lump-sum monthly package depends on domain skills and relevant experience.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead identification, evaluation and adoption of next-generation technologies for disaster management
- Develop NGT technology roadmap and priority use cases
- Coordinate AI/ML, automation, IoT, robotics/UAV, digital twin and visualization initiatives
- Translate NEOC/NDMA operational requirements into technology solutions
- Oversee prototypes, pilots, PoCs and technology demonstrations
- Establish partnerships with universities, tech firms, startups and R&D organizations
- Assess technology readiness, scalability and interoperability
- Prepare technical concepts for C2DM course curriculum
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - BS/MS Computer Science, BS/MS Artificial Intelligence, BS/MS Data Science, BS/MS Software Engineering, BS/MS Computer Engineering, BS/MS Information Technology, BS/MS Robotics, BS/MS Geoinformatics, in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Robotics, Geoinformatics, recognised by HEC
- BS/MS from HEC recognized university
- Master's degree and certifications in AI/cloud/data/innovation management preferred

Experience required
- Required experience: 4 – 6 years
- 4-6 years relevant post-qualification experience in technology development/deployment, AI/data-driven solutions, R&D, technology integration or digital transformation; disaster management/climate/govtech experience advantageous
