Oil Refining & Marketing Expert in SPPS-III at the Petroleum Division, advising on Pakistan's refining and downstream petroleum sector across technical, economic, policy and investment matters.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assess existing refining capacity, modernization needs and infrastructure gaps
- Review refinery configuration, process optimization, product diversification and environmental compliance
- Advise on downstream policies including pricing, trade regulations, blending mandates and fuel standards
- Analyze petroleum supply chains, logistics, storage and distribution
- Evaluate investment proposals for refineries and related infrastructure
- Contribute to policy on price deregulation, supply resilience and alternative fuels
- Advise on global and regional petroleum market trends and their domestic implications
- Build financial and technical models for project viability
- Engage with industry, regulators, investors and environmental bodies
- Support public-private partnership and foreign investment strategies
- Prepare reports, policy briefs and presentations for senior decision-makers
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - BS Business Administration, BS Mechanical Engineering, BE Mechanical Engineering, BE Chemical Engineering, BSc Mechanical Engineering, BS Industrial Management, MBA, in Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration, recognised by HEC
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Management or MBA as listed in the advertisement
Experience required
- Required experience: At least 7 years
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in refining and downstream petroleum
