Frontier Works Organization (FWO) is hiring a Planning Engineer in Nokundi, District Chagai, Balochistan. The main duty of the post is to determine and develop the most suitable and economically viable construction and engineering methods for projects. The post requires MS/ BS Project Management / BE Civil Engineering with at least 8 years of experience.
Duties and responsibilities
- Determine and develop the most suitable and economically viable construction and engineering methods for projects
- Understanding project specifications and developing time schedules and budgets that meet them
- Deciding on the most appropriate engineering techniques and sequences of activities for each project stage
- Drawing plans using specialized design software packages
- Ensuring plans meet the client's specifications
- Making estimations for timescales and costs
- Supervising the project at all stages and providing solutions to problems
- Negotiating with vendors and contractors to secure the best prices
- Observing existing processes, analyzing staff performance, and addressing deficiencies accordingly
- Monitoring and tracking project progress, and writing up reports
- Attending and scheduling meetings as required
- Delegating tasks and ensuring workers receive feedback
- Understanding and meeting all contract requirements
- Communicating with managers, supervisors, and the rest of the team
- Analyzing technical drawings and providing material and cost estimates
- Ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budgets
- Any other task assigned by the supervisor
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - BE (Civil Engineering), BS Project Management, MS Project Management, in Civil Engineering, Project Management
- Education: MS/ BS Project Management / BE Civil Engineering
- Developing Project Plans and Schedules
- Ensuring Projects meet deadlines
- Estimating Projects Costs and Resources
- Tracking Project process and identifying delays
Experience required
- Required experience: 8 – 10 years
- Min 8- 10 Yrs post qual experience
