About this vacancy
Frontier Works Organization (FWO) is hiring a Quantity Surveyor (CQS/AQS) in Nokundi, District Chagai, Balochistan. The main duty of the post is to lead and supervise all quantity surveying activities, including cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control for mining infrastructure and construction projects. The post requires DAE Civ with at least 8 years of experience.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all quantity surveying activities, including cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control for mining infrastructure and construction projects
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take-offs, and detailed cost estimates for civil works, earthworks, roads, buildings, drainage, and other mining facilities
- Monitor project expenditures, analyze cost variations, and ensure that project costs remain within approved budgets
- Review contractor and subcontractor quotations, evaluate tender submissions, and provide recommendations for contract awards
- Manage contractual matters, including interim payment applications, variation orders, claims, and final account settlements
- Coordinate with project managers, engineering teams, procurement, and contractors to verify quantities, progress measurements, and payment certifications
- Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, budget updates, and financial progress reports for project management
