The date your age is counted on

The closing date of the advertisement.

An upper limit of N years means you must not have reached your Nth birthday on the date age is counted. Turning N on that very date makes you over-age by one day.

General age relaxation

BPSC's current advert (09/2026) states the final ceilings itself: 43 for fresh candidates, 50 for government servants, and no further relaxation.

Age relaxations under Balochistan rules

The advert's ceiling is final; nothing is added to it.

  • Fresh candidates, including persons with disabilities and the legal heirs of Shaheed: upper limit 43. As stated in BPSC Advertisement 09/2026.
  • Government servants: upper limit 50. Two years' continuous regular service on the closing date.

No longer in force

Kept here because they still appear in old advertisements and guides.

  • Every candidate, 2022-23: upper limit 43. 24-06-2022 to 23-06-2023. Lapsed. Valid 2022-06-24 to 2023-06-23.

Also worth knowing

  • The posts' base age range in Advertisement 09/2026 is printed as 18-28.

Not confirmed from an official source

We could not confirm these from an official document, so the calculator does not rely on them. Check the advertisement.

  • The S&GAD notification behind the 43 ceiling (reportedly a cabinet decision of 27-08-2026, valid three years, not where the rules already allow more than 43) was not found on an official site.

How it works

  1. Enter your date of birth and the closing date of the BPSC advertisement.
  2. Enter the upper age limit the advertisement states - BPSC's current advertisement gives the final ceiling itself.
  3. If you are a government servant with two years' continuous regular service, tick it: the advertisement allows you up to 50.
  4. You see your exact age on the closing date and each step of the working.

Common mistakes

  • Counting your age on the day the advertisement was published. Age is reckoned on the closing date for applications unless the advertisement names another date.
  • Using a different date of birth from the one on your Matric certificate and CNIC. Recruiters go by your documents; if they differ, sort that out first.
  • Adding the general relaxation yourself when the advertisement says the age limit already includes it. It is then counted only once.
  • Assuming a relaxation applies without the proof. A relaxation that is not proved with the document the advertisement asks for is refused at scrutiny.
