Deputy Director - Public Sector

NUST invites online applications for the post of Deputy Director - Public Sector at Jinnah School of Public Policy and Leadership, IEDC. Job Reference: Job/SS-111/10/10/2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview; no TA/DA admissible.

• Lead development and implementation of flagship executive education programme strategy
• Develop and manage portfolio of executive education offerings for senior public-sector leaders
• Identify priority programme themes (public leadership, governance, policy, institutional reform, digital transformation)
• Lead design and review of curricula, learning journeys, assessments and capstones
• Engage faculty, policymakers, practitioners and international collaborators
• Establish strategic partnerships with ministries, governments, public-sector bodies, universities and development partners
• Prepare concept notes, proposals, budgets, MoUs and approval documents
• Develop annual business and growth plans including enrolment and revenue targets
• Oversee end-to-end programme delivery and participant experience
• Develop monitoring and evaluation mechanisms
• Guide and supervise assigned staff
• Ensure compliance with NUST policies and financial procedures

• Bachelor's or Master's - Master's Degree (16 years), MS, MPhil (18 years), in Public Policy, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Education, recognised by HEC
• Excellent leadership, programme management and communication skills
• Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills
• Deep understanding of governance and public policy in Pakistan
• Analytical, budgeting, negotiation and proposal-development skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and M&E/reporting tools
• Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC
• No 3rd Division in academic career
• NUST employees need minimum one year service and NOC from Head of Institution
• Candidates must not be in process of pursuing the required degree
• Candidates must be medically fit
• Govt/Armed Forces employees must apply through parent department

• Required experience: At least 12 years
• At least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in executive education, public-sector engagement, leadership development, programme management, institutional capacity building, governance, consultancy, policy development or strategic partnerships
• Experience accepted from: Government Institutions, Public-Sector Organizations, Development Partners, Think Tanks, Universities

• All candidates: 25 – 50 years
