About this vacancy
NUST invites online applications for the post of System Administrator at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Info & Comm Tech Services SEECS. Job Reference: Job/SS-119/10/16/2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview; no TA/DA admissible.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage IT Support, Surveillance, Network Support, and Labs & Classrooms teams at SEECS and ensure security of IT resources
- Design, develop and deploy new IT projects for SEECS and NUST
- Formulate and implement IT policies and SOPs for SEECS
- Ensure maintenance and updates of IT infrastructure including hardware, software and network systems
- Budget planning, optimization and finalization
- Team management
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's - BSCS, BSIT, BSIS, MSCS, MSIT, MSIS, in Computer Science, Information Technology, recognised by HEC
- Team management
- Data Center management
- L3 Networking
- Competent in server management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC
- No 3rd Division in academic career
- NUST employees need minimum one year service and NOC from Head of Institution
- Candidates must not be in process of pursuing the required degree
- Candidates must be medically fit
- Govt/Armed Forces employees must apply through parent department
Experience required
- Required experience: 3 – 5 years
- Essential: 3-5 years relevant experience in reputed organization; Desirable: 6-8 years
Age limit
- All candidates: 25 – 45 years
