NUST invites online applications for the post of Librarian at US-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy, Department of Energy Systems Engineering. Job Reference: Job/SS-112/10/13/2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview; no TA/DA admissible.
Duties and responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day library operations and improve library services
- Supervise and guide library staff and orient new students and faculty
- Maintain library budget with the library committee
- Prepare reports, proposals, and policies
- Evaluate library staff performance
- Complete other assignments given by higher management
Eligibility criteria
- Master's or MPhil - MLIS, Masters in Information Management, MPhil Library & Information Science, recognised by HEC
- Knowledge of DDC, AACR2, MARC21, RDA
- Proficient in Koha, DSpace and metadata standards
- Familiar with digital libraries, e-resources and HEC digital library
- Understanding of copyright laws and open access
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Strategic planning, report and policy drafting
- Team leadership and conflict resolution
- Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC
- No 3rd Division in academic career
- NUST employees need minimum one year service and NOC from Head of Institution
- Candidates must not be in process of pursuing the required degree
- Candidates must be medically fit
- Govt/Armed Forces employees must apply through parent department
Experience required
- Required experience: 3 – 5 years
- Essential: 3-5 years relevant experience in reputed institution; Desirable: 6-8 years

- All candidates: 25 – 45 years
