Government Security Jobs in Pakistan

Security vacancies here are the civilian and institutional kind rather than police ranks: Security Officer and Security Supervisor posts in departments, authorities, universities, hospitals, banks and public companies, along with internal affairs, vigilance and integrity cadres that investigate conduct inside an organisation. These are almost always recruited directly by the body concerned, and often in ones and twos alongside unrelated posts in the same advertisement.

Security officer posts commonly ask for a Bachelor's degree and give preference to retired armed forces or police personnel, with the rank and length of service stated in the advertisement. Physical fitness standards and an age band usually apply, and some posts require a firearms licence or specific training certification. Internal affairs and vigilance cadres are different in character: they normally require a Bachelor's or Master's degree and demonstrated investigation, audit or disciplinary-inquiry experience.

Selection typically combines an interview with a background and character verification, and for the uniformed-style posts a physical test as well. Pay depends heavily on the employing body - a security post in an autonomous authority or public company may sit on that organisation's own scale rather than a Basic Pay Scale. Where ex-servicemen are preferred, the advertisement says whether it is a preference or a hard requirement, and the two are not the same.
