When KPPSC wants your documents

KPPSC takes no documents with the online application. Candidates who pass the test - or are shortlisted - are told by SMS, email, the website or post to send all their documents with the signed Documents Submission Proforma, and the documents must reach the Commission within 15 days of that message. Late documents, or incomplete ones that do not show you are eligible, get the application rejected.

The Commission gives no relaxation for a message you say you did not receive, so keep the phone number and email in your form active and check KPPSC's website after the result. A rejected candidate is told the reason within 7 days and may make a representation within 15 days, then appeal to the Chairman within 15 days.

If you are called for interview, bring the originals.

The Documents Submission Proforma

The proforma goes on top of your documents, and the documents follow its order, with every page numbered (the Matric certificate starts at page 4). It asks for attested photocopies and three attested passport-size photographs, for men and women alike. KPPSC's Regulations also accept unattested photocopies if you give a certificate or affidavit that they are genuine and accept responsibility if they are not; they do not say who may attest.

  • Matric, Intermediate, Bachelor's and Master's certificates and degrees, any diploma, and MS/MPhil or PhD.
  • DMCs for Matric, Intermediate, Bachelor's and Master's.
  • Distinction or gold-medal certificates, and the Hifz-ul-Quran certificate if you have one.
  • Domicile certificate and a copy of your CNIC.
  • Departmental Permission Certificate, if you are a government servant.
  • Experience certificates.
  • Character certificates from your last institution and from two responsible persons.
  • Any other document that supports your application.

Domicile and zones

You must be domiciled in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the merged districts included, and attach a domicile certificate issued before the last date for applications. The domicile you produce is final - no later change to it is accepted - and a candidate may hold only one; holding two on the closing date gets the application rejected.

Posts are split into merit and zones, and your zone follows your district of domicile. A married woman not already in government service may adopt her husband's domicile or keep her own - and the choice she makes in the online form is final.

Qualification, marks and experience

Only the qualification you held on the closing date counts. Degrees, diplomas and certificates from unrecognised institutions are not accepted, and if you claim an equivalent qualification you need HEC's equivalence certificate. Where a degree shows marks but no division, KPPSC works the division out itself (under 45% third, 45-60% second, 60% and above first); if you cannot prove your marks, the lowest passing marks are assumed.

Experience means full-time, in-line experience gained after the prescribed qualification, certified by the competent authority. Unlike SPSC, KPPSC counts ad-hoc, contract and officiating service; practical training counts only if done after the academic session.

Each certificate is on the employer's letterhead with a reference number, the date of issue, the stamp, full address and phone - without those it is not accepted. One certificate per employer, stating the dates, whether the job was regular, contract or part-time, and the duties. For Elementary and Secondary Education posts, the certificate must be countersigned: by the BISE for school experience up to 2016, by PSRA from 2017, by HERA for college experience from 2017, or by the education office for serving employees.

Government employees, quotas and Hifz

  • Employees of government, semi-government and autonomous bodies may apply directly, but submit a Departmental Permission Certificate on KPPSC's form when asked. Education employees have it countersigned by the District Education Officer (BPS-15 and below) or the Director.
  • Disability quota: a certificate from the Provincial Council for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons, issued on a Standing Medical Board's report and naming the disability, before the interview. Ask in advance for a writer if you need one.
  • Minority quota: a minority certificate from your community's recognised institution or authority. Minority candidates also get five years' age relaxation.
  • Hifz-ul-Quran: for posts not filled by a competitive exam, up to 3 of 100 marks, given after you are tested at the interview.
  • Ex-servicemen: KP's age relaxation rules have no category for retired or released Armed Forces personnel.

How it works

  1. The checklist opens with KPPSC already chosen. Tell it the kind of post - you can still go back and pick another body.
  2. Answer short questions about your domicile, government service, qualification, experience and any quota. Each is a tap, and nothing leaves your device.
  3. You get your own list - every document, original or copy, and how many copies this body asks for - to tick off, print or save as a PDF.
  4. Above it are the risks in your answers: red for a listed reason to reject, amber to check, green to have ready - each with what to do and the official rule.

Common mistakes

  • Waiting for the test result before collecting documents, then missing the 15-day deadline.
  • A domicile issued after the last date for applications - KPPSC asks for one issued before it.
  • Experience certificates without a reference number, date, stamp or phone number, which KPPSC says it will not accept.
  • Education-post experience without the BISE, PSRA or HERA countersignature the advertisement names.
  • Choosing the husband's domicile in the form and later wanting to change it - the choice is final.
